Xiaomi will launch its next flagship phone, the Mi Note 2 on October 25. Ahead of launch, its full hardware specs and price have found their way to the World Wide Web, much to Xiaomi’s dismay. The purported slide deck for the phone shared on Chinese social media website Weibo leaves nothing to the imagination.

The alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2, as per the leak, will come with a 5.7-inch QuadHD Super AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with up to 6 gigs of RAM under the hood. The phone will further come with up to 128GB of internal memory and a 4,100mAh battery powering the whole thing.

Just like the Mi 5s launched recently, the Mi Note 2 will also support Qualcomm’s new Ultrasonic fingerprint sensing technology and come with the Snapdragon Sense ID built right in to the home button. The technology essentially allows manufacturers to embed the fingerprint sensor within frames or panels, instead of relying on dedicated areas, like the home button.

Moving on, just like the Mi 5s, the Mi Note 2 will come with a dual camera setup on the rear: one consisting of a 23-megapixel IMX 318 sensor and another consisting of a 12-megapixel IMX 378 sensor. The Mi 5s comes with two 12-megapixel cameras on the rear, where one shoots in standard RGB (colour) while another shoots in monochrome. While the RGB sensor captures colour details and information, the monochrome sensor captures more light (and higher contrast) according to Xiaomi. Xiaomi is using the Sony IMX 378 shooter in the Mi 5s. It would be interesting to see how Xiaomi incorporates the dual-camera setup in the Mi Note 2.
