OnePlus – a smartphone brand that entered the Indian market not so long ago has become the most trusted phone brand in India. The popularity is probably because of the last three flagship phones that the company introduced, which are the – OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T from last year and the third is the recently announced device – OnePlus 5.
The report is based on the survey conducted by CyberMedia Research, a firm that regularly conducts the Mobile Industry Consumer Insight (MICI) Survey to capture the consumer aspirations, preferences and challenges, and dislikes around smartphone brands. This time OnePlus wins the competition.
Prabhu Ram, Head – Industry Intelligence Group, CMR says, “As per the latest CMR MICI Survey findings, one interesting trend that stands out is that while Apple and Samsung dominate, a brand like OnePlus is securing a healthy mindshare amongst Indian smartphone consumers.”
Although OnePlus becomes the top trusted brand in India, Apple continues to be a smartphone brand that consumers will trust in the future. Amongst Apple users, the MICI survey findings reaffirm that current Apple users have the maximum brand loyalty.
On the other hand, the MICI survey findings indicate that OnePlus has scored high on various parameters compared to the other major smartphone brands. OnePlus scores a very high loyalty amongst its users. The report further notes that OnePlus has emerged as a highly recommended brand with a high resale value. As per the MICI findings, OnePlus is ranked first with customers regarding it as the “highest recommended brand”.
OnePlus becomes the top trusted phone brand in India based on three factors:
— Going by the quality of the OnePlus phone, OnePlus users are said to be 100 per cent satisfied.
— About 96 per cent OnePlus customers are satisfied with availability of the spare parts.
— The report further notes that around 90 per cent OnePlus customers are satisfied with problem resolution
After OnePlus, in the list of most trusted smartphoen brands comes Apple, followed by Vivo. Among premium smartphones, HTC ranks first it comes to “trust and desirability”, which is followed by OnePlus at second position. As per the smartphone brand visibility, Oppo wins the race. However when it comes to “resale value”, OnePlus brand scores the highest.
