Back in February, Nokia announced four phones at MWC 2017 – the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and a re-incarnation of the Nokia 3310. The Nokia 3 and Nokia 3310 have already gone on sale in India and the Nokia 5 is now set to hit retail stores on Independence Day, August 15. Offline pre-bookings for the Nokia 5 had already begun a few weeks ago on July 7.

The Nokia 5, which is made out of a single piece of aluminum,  will retail for Rs 12,899. According to Nokiapoweruser, the smartphone is set to be available only in select cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru initially with a wider release expected later. Retailers like Croma, Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika and Big C will carry the Nokia 5 in their stores.

While the Nokia 5 will only be available through offline retail stores, the Nokia 6 will be sold exclusively via Amazon India starting from August 23. In order to be eligible for the August 23 sale, you have to register at the e-commerce website. The Nokia 6 has been priced at Rs 14,999 and is the top of the line model in Nokia’s current line-up.
