Fresh image and specs leak suggest a successor to Moto G4 Plus may be on its way. The phone appeared earlier as Moto C in various leaks, but in its low light snaps and renders, it looked very similar to the one now listed as Moto G5 Plus on Romanian Olx.
The seller has put up several images, all the specs and even the release date of the prototype on the online classifieds platform. The phone showed in silver has a mix of Moto Z design with big camera housing at the rear with the Moto dimple and a physical button at front like the G4.
The post also listed screen grabs of benchmarking app CPU-Z that shows the phone running a 2 GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset. Rest of the specs include 4GB of RAM, 32GB on-board storage and a 3,080 mAh battery. The phone boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display, and possibly a fingerprint sensor placed below it (the navigation keys are on-screen)
While the screen grabs show Moto G5 Plus will come with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter, the leaker has listed the rear camera to have 13-megapixel sensor. It also reveals the phone will have NFC, Accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope and gravity sensors.
Said to come pre-loaded with the Android Nougat 7.0 OS, the phone appears to run the usual stock-interface all the Moto phones carry since the start of their journey at Google. The G5 Plus is expected to be announced in March but we are hoping to get a sighting of it at the MWC 2017 in February.
The Romanian seller demands a premium of RON 1,650 (approx Rs 26,500 or $388) on the Moto G5 Plus. But from the specs of it, the phone might be priced in the sub Rs 15,000 range like the Moto G4 Plus.
