Huawei will launch the camera-centric P10 (and P10 Plus) phone on February 26 at MWC. The P10 has now been leaked in all its glory ahead of its official unveiling showing off key design elements of the phone in question. Two stand-out features of the Huawei P10, as per the renders , are iPhone 7-inspired antenna lines on the back and a front-mounted home button that should double as a fingerprint scanner.
The Huawei P9, in comparison, came with distinct antenna lines. In the case of the P10, however, these have been shifted towards the extreme ends much like it is in the iPhone 7. Also, the Huawei P9 came with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Rest of the P10 seems to look a lot like the P9 with its centre of attraction being a Leica-certified dual camera system on the rear.
The P10, according to reports, will come with a 5.2-inch QHD display and a Kirin 960 processor with up to 4GB of RAM under the hood. The phone is said to come with a 20-megapixel+12-megapixel system on the rear and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The Android Nougat based Huawei P10 is further said to be backed by a 3100mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
The original P9 has two cameras on the rear — dual 12-megapixel Leica-certified with phase detection autofocus and dualLED (dual tone) flash — wherein one takes monochrome shots while the other takes photos in colour (RGB). The phone’s software algorithm then merges both the images into one and creates the final photo. The monochrome images can take in 300 per cent more light and 50 per cent more contrast than coloured photos, according to Huawei.
Sadly, the rear cameras can’t shoot 4K video, and there is on Optical Image Stabilisation.
