Huawei sub-brand Honor will launch the Honor 20 Series of smartphones at an event in London today. Reports till now suggest that the Chinese company will launch the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro at the event. The Honor 20 will be the successor of the Honor 10 smartphone that was launched in India last year. Speculations are that the company might also announce the Honor 20i, which was launched in China earlier this year.
The new Honor phones will launch in India on June 11. While the company has already opened pre-booking for the phone on Vmall for the Honor 20 series in China, in India, it has partnered with the e-commerce giant Flipkart to sell the phones. The Honor 20 series launch is slated to commence at 2 PM local time (6:30 PM IST) and will take place at Battersea Evolution in Battersea, London. Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro specifications:
The Honor 20 series will soon have the Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20, alongside the already announced Honor 20i. The two phones are most likely to launch running on Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 chipset. The Honor 20 is speculated to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a waterdrop notch and sixth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is expected to sport a rear triple camera setup with 48MP + 20MP + 8MP sensors. On the front, it might be equipped with a 32MP sensor. and could be backed by a 3,650 mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.
Just like the Honor 20, the Honor 20 Pro may also have the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset under the hood. It could feature a 6.5-inch punch-hole display that could be situated on the top left corner of the screen. However, unlike the triple camera setup on the Honor 20, the Honor 20 Pro is speculated to feature an AI-assisted quad-cam setup at the back. The phone could feature the Sony IMX600 40MP camera sensor that’s also found on the Huawei P30 Pro. It might run on a 4,000 mAh battery.
