Google Earth is all set to receive an upgrade on coming April 18, four days before Earth Day on April 22.  It is speculated that Google Earth team may introduce some major overhaul to the service on the afore date considering the fact the company has dedicated a whole event to it this time. The event is set to take place at New York’s Whitney Museum of Art at 8:30 AM ET.  Google last year launched the VR version of Google Earth but it is available only for HTC Vive headset for now. With the new update, the company may extend this support to its Daydream VR headset.

Engadget has shared the photo of press invite from Google inviting for a pre-Earth Day celebration to take place in New York next week. However, not much has been revealed in the invite.  All it says about the Google Earth it will provide users with the brand new experience. This is what the invite reads exactly-“Join us for the unveiling of the new Google Earth…What…A first look at the brand new experience, just in time for Earth Day.”

To recall, Google Earth was originally known as EarthViewer 3D and was first   developed by a company called ‘Keyhold’ in 2001. Google in year 2004 acquired the app and later in 2005 renamed it to Google Earth.

Google on Thursday unveiled a new application for the Android users called the Google Areo. The application is currently available on Google Play Store, however, hasn’t been seamlessly rolled out to all corners of the country, and is only available in selective areas across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

To recall, the Google Areo application for Android works as a food delivery and home service application, in turn makes life much easier for people by solving most of the everyday life issue. The app let the user order food from any of their favourite food delivery app like Foodpanda, Swiggy, or any other from the same platform.

Facilities doesn’t end just here, as Google Areo further allow the users to call plumbers, electricians, beauticians at just a single click. It also let the users buy groceries from several other similar applications like – Bigbasket, Grofers, or any other from one single platform.
